Recent Storm Activity in Minnesota
The Twin Cities metro sits in one of the most active hail corridors in the upper Midwest, and we track every NOAA / SPC severe-weather report in our service area. The verified reports below cover the last 24 months only — so what you see reflects what's actually been hitting Minnesota roofs recently, not decades-old history.
Our Stillwater headquarters puts us within an hour of the entire metro, so post-storm inspections in Washington, Ramsey, Hennepin, Dakota, Anoka, Chisago, and Carver counties typically happen within days — not weeks — of a hail event.
Tracked NOAA / SPC Storm Reports
78 severe storm reports logged in our Minnesota service area in the last 24 months · 31 hail events (up to 3.25″ hail) · 42 damaging wind events (gusts to 66 mph) · 5 tornado reports.

Roofing Questions from Minnesota Homeowners
Is Weatherguard licensed for roofing work in Minnesota?
Yes. Weatherguard Construction holds Minnesota residential building contractor license #BC282484 and is bonded and insured. Minnesota law requires storm-damage contractors to be licensed — always verify a license with the MN Department of Labor and Industry before signing.
How fast can you inspect storm damage in the Twin Cities metro?
Our headquarters is in Stillwater, so most metro inspections happen within a few days of a hail or wind event. We photograph and document damage for your insurance claim at no charge.
Do you help with Minnesota insurance claims for roofing?
Yes. We document the damage, meet your adjuster on site, and scope the repair to match your carrier's estimate. Under Minnesota Statute 325E.66, a contract for storm-damage work can be canceled if your insurer denies the claim — we walk you through those protections.
