Fall is one of the best times of year in the St. Croix Valley, and this October, Weatherguard Construction is inviting local families to celebrate the season with us.
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, we’re turning the front of our office in Grant into our first-ever free community pumpkin patch. Families can choose a carving pumpkin to take home, enjoy apple cider and fall treats, play games, and learn how to enter our take-home pumpkin decorating contest.
The event is open to everyone, and there is no admission cost. You do not need to be a current or past Weatherguard customer to attend. Visit weatherguard.info to find links to our social media and RSVP easily.

Plan Your Visit
Stop by anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Pumpkins will be available while supplies last, so families hoping to choose from the widest selection should consider arriving earlier in the event.
Before coming to the patch:
Follow Weatherguard Construction Company on Facebook or @weatherguard_construction on Instagram.
RSVP through our Facebook event to help guarantee your pumpkins.
Check our social media pages before leaving home for event reminders or weather-related updates.
Invite your family, neighbors, and friends to join you.
To receive a free pumpkin, an adult in your family should follow Weatherguard on at least one of our social media platforms. Children do not need their own social media accounts.
The event will be held outdoors, so please dress for the fall weather. We will share any important event-day updates through Facebook and Instagram.
What to Expect at the Pumpkin Patch
The main attraction will be our outdoor pumpkin patch, where families can choose carving pumpkins to bring home. The pumpkins can be carved, painted, or decorated later as part of our optional take-home contest—or simply enjoyed as part of your fall decorations.
We’ll also have:
Apple cider and fall treats
Family-friendly games and activities
Fall photo opportunities
Information about the pumpkin decorating contest
Details about the available contest prizes
The event is designed to be relaxed and easy for families to enjoy at their own pace. Come for a pumpkin, stay for a game, take a few fall photos, or spend some time visiting with neighbors from around the Stillwater area.
There is no purchase required, and participating in the decorating contest is optional. Families are welcome to attend the event and bring home a pumpkin without entering the contest.
How to Guarantee Your Pumpkins
We are planning to have plenty of pumpkins available, but the patch will remain open only while supplies last.
Following Weatherguard Construction on Facebook or Instagram is required to receive a free pumpkin. RSVPing through the Facebook event will also help us estimate attendance and prepare enough pumpkins for local families.

Enter Our Take-Home Pumpkin Contest
The fun does not have to end when you leave the patch. Take your pumpkin home and make it your own. You can carve it, paint it, add decorations, or create something completely unexpected. Once your pumpkin is finished, submit a photo through Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win a prize.
The contest will include three categories:
Most Liked
The eligible entry receiving the most likes or reactions on its original Facebook photo comment or Instagram post will be selected as the Most Liked winner.
Facebook and Instagram engagement will be counted separately, so participants should encourage friends and family to vote on the original entry.
Staff Favorite
The Weatherguard team will review the eligible entries and select one pumpkin as our Staff Favorite.
This category gives creative entries another opportunity to win, even if they do not receive the highest number of public votes.
Junior Favorite
Children ages 10 and under can enter the Junior category. A parent or guardian should submit the pumpkin photo and clearly identify it as a Junior Entry.
The child does not need a personal social media account. All posting and contest communication can be handled through the parent or guardian’s account.
How to Submit Your Pumpkin
Contest entry instructions are different for Facebook and Instagram.
Visit the Weatherguard Construction Company Facebook page and locate our pinned Pumpkin Contest post. Add your pumpkin photo in the comments of that post.
Likes and reactions on the original photo comment will count as votes.
Post your pumpkin photo from a public Instagram account and tag @weatherguard_construction in both the photo and the caption.
Likes on the original Instagram post will count as votes.
Entries and voting will close on October 30 at 12:00 p.m. Complete contest instructions, eligibility requirements, and prize information will be available through the pinned contest posts on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Winners will be contacted through the social media account used to enter. We will also announce and tag the winners on our pages, so participants should watch for updates after voting closes.
A Free Fall Event for Our Community
Weatherguard Construction has served homeowners since 2001. While our everyday work includes roofing, siding, windows, gutters, exterior painting, and decks, being a local family-owned company means more to us than completing construction projects.
Our family has called the Stillwater area home for six generations, and we value opportunities to bring local families together. The pumpkin patch is a simple way for us to celebrate fall, meet more of our neighbors, and provide a free seasonal activity close to home.
We’re excited to welcome families from Grant, Stillwater, Lake Elmo, Oak Park Heights, Bayport, Woodbury, and throughout the surrounding St. Croix Valley.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 10, follow us on Facebook or Instagram, and RSVP through the Facebook event to help guarantee your pumpkins.
We look forward to seeing you at the patch!
